Feeling self-conscious again

Posted in Group:

Recently broke out really bad and it's bringing back all these emotions. My acne has been clear for the last 6 months after taking acne medication but I had a bad reaction to the makeup I was using. It's healing now but it's making me feel self-conscious and insecure like I was 6 months ago. I can't wait till it goes. I also fear it will come back....
I hate how acne defines my life. I don't feel like leaving my house when I have acne. I don't feel confident.

This sounds crazy.....but try EXTRA STRENGTH DESITIN - it's for diaper rashes. I had acne in high school but as an adult nothing....except the monthly show up and sometimes a breakout from stress - I get it around my mouth and on my forehead - then all of a sudden in January 2011 I had a breakout that lasted until the middle of August - I have never had it that long - usually a couple of weeks and then nothing for months - anyway.....I was as the dr with my son and saw the free samples of Desitin so out of pure desparation I took some. I wore NO makeup and kept the acne covered in it and in about two weeks it was gone and thank GOD it has not come back.........it's worth a shot........if you could start it Friday night and keep it going all weekend - and then try not to wear any make up - also drink water, water, water.....try not to dink any soda, juice etc. EVERYTHING you put into your body has to go somewhere....all those chemicals and sugars wreak havoc on your skin. Look at your diet too. Nutrition is key. The acne is a product of something in your body, try the desitin and water and healthy diet and exercise.....it may a take a couple of weeks but what have you got to lose???? Good luck! and do NOT touch your face......... PS wear the Desitin to bed too...get EXTRA Strenght or whatever the maximum is - blessings and smiles :~) b

Your attitude is your paintbrush. How will you paint your day?
