Posted in Group:

read this article, but not too sure if i want to try it. it suggest using lemon on the skin to clear acne. my skin is going crazy right now with the winter weather and need a fix fast. has anyone tried this remedy?

heres what the article says:
"Lemon juice is one of the best choices for effective natural acne remedies. This treatment is very easy to obtain, but it can work wonderful results for healing your face and prevent acne from occurring. Lemon juice

also contains properties for healing other skin infections and problems. Lemons can be purchased from any supermarket, which is one reason why its acne remedies are so popular. If used properly, it will guarantee less oily skin and a clear complexion.

Lemon juice has strong acidic properties, so it will probably sting when placed on sensitive skin areas. To dilute the lemon juice and prevent skin irritation, try mixing it with rosewater or a similar liquid to take out the stinging feeling. You will need to mix equal amounts of the lemon and other liquid together before applying it on your skin. Even with a dilute, the mixture still sting if it is on a sensitive area like your face. The stinging will continue for a few minutes until the mixture begins to dry. Leave the lemon on your skin for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it off with water."

I suppose this could be effective given the acidity of lemon, let us know how it goes!

I'm tempted to try it as well. Did the article say whether it should be fresh lemon juice or if the bottled lemon juice would work? Let me know.

i still haven't tried this because my skin has been so dry with the cold weather and i'm not sure if this will dry it out more, but i also have breakouts too. its doesn't say whether it has to be fresh or not. i am guessing the purer the lemon juice the better, BUT you have to dilute it. its definitely says mix it with rosewater or something so its not pure lemon juice on the face.

I feel like I've tried every natural remedy, along with every antibiotic, and every wash/cleanser. Nothing has ever worked for me so if this does please let me know!

Ok so I tried this on thursday night and friday. It stung like crazy and made the area red. Friday I woke up and the redness and irritation fr the lemon were gone but the blemish was still there.
